Job description
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, we are looking for an emotionally intelligent, dynamic and experienced Director of Food & Beverage to manage the hotel’s restaurant, in room dining, lobby lounge and banqueting department. The Director of Food and Beverage will be assisted by a dedicated team consisting of a Restaurant and In Room Dining Manager, Banquets Operations Manager and Lobby Lounge Manager, and leading a team of more than 70 food and beverage Ambassadors of this very busy hotel.
• Direct and drive the management of all hotel food and beverage outlets in order to maximise profitability and to ensure superior guest service and product quality.
• Implement all Sofitel standards and specifications within the hotel.
• Participate in annual departmental budget preparation, regular forecast reviews, and weekly payroll planning.
• Develop action plans and promotional activities to stimulate sales and profit while controlling operating expenses.
• Gather information regarding guest satisfaction and competitor promotional activities.
• Establish effective employee relations, drive employee engagement and maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards all hotel guests, clients, heads of department and employees.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations, quality standards, grooming standards and house rules.
• Implement all Sofitel Food and Beverage standards and specifications within the department.
• Establish long-term departmental strategic plans and goals.
