Job Description
The Director - Development & Careers leads the delivery of development and Career Programs across the Australia New Zealand business. The roles serves as a functional expert / thought leader and resource for HR and senior executives in relation to development challenges and manages integration of key programs and policies relating to all areas of Talent & Learning in Australia and New Zealand.



The role takes ownership of AECOM’s Learning and Development offering, including leadership development, mid-level management, graduate development, ensuring that it is of a high standard and meeting changing business needs.

Preferred Qualifications
Appropriate technical qualification in Human Resources, Organisation Development or a related field.
Experience in professional services or technical organisations.
Experience in a senior learning and development role, being accountable for delivery of a program of learning solutions.
Experience in a global corporate organisation would be well-regraded.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements.
Experience in successfully leading teams.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver learning activities to a broad range of audiences, from senior executives to graduates.
Experience in managing the use of Learning Management Systems.
Minimum Requirements

Driving and coordinating technical development – supporting the Practice Leaders to provide challenging, relevant, and high quality technical training and development experiences.
Develop an ANZ Career framework, focused on defining and providing great career experiences for our people.
Help our people know the career paths available and support them with information, tools and a framework, to get wherever they may want to be.
Work with operational and support services leaders to ensure coordinated and high quality learning solutions are delivered to our people.
Ensure integrated delivery of programs and monitor the effectiveness of the learning.
Provide thought leadership to HR and the business on performance management, leadership development, talent, and career management.
Work with Global HR on implementation of significant global projects such as AECOM University and Project Manager Accreditation, other significant cultural changes.
Understand the capability gaps and develop learning solutions to enable these gaps to be filled. Provide creative, innovative and cost effective solutions to the business.
Lead a team of talent management specialists located across Australia and New Zealand. (currently 2 people).
Facilitate key development programs to a broad range of audiences, specifically around leadership, people management, and effective business management.
Develop content for new learning programs, which may be delivered either face-to-face, though virtual means, or on-line learning
Support a range of other HR and business initiatives as required.
