Internal Auditor - Staples Australia - Sydney

Job description
We are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to complete audit projects, inclusive of reporting and presenting to executive stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have Big Four work experience coupled with strong commercial awareness, excellent communication and presentation skills. This is a true partnership role where you will be heavily involved in all areas of the business. You will inherently be accountable, pragmatic and a likeable individual. In addition, you will play a key role in contributing and defining future audit plans.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Executing audits independently with minimum supervision. Audits will be completed from start to finish including planning, fieldwork and reporting
Preparing comprehensive working papers that are consistent with auditing standards, accounting principles, and internal standards
Documenting findings for discussion with management and conducting close-out meetings in a collaborative manner.
Drafting clear and concise reports, identifying key risks and value-added recommendations
Building and maintaining effective relationships through exceptional influencing, communication and networking skills
Experience of a risk based audit methodology
Previous experience of using ACL or other data mining tools to identify anomalies, select sample sizes and develop continuous monitoring reporting will be advantageous, but is not essential
