Engineering Manager - Power Generation - Cummins - Melbourne

Job description
Cummins is the world’s largest independent producer and distributor of diesel engines and related components. Regionally, Cummins South Pacific operates a network of some 38 branches and is a recognised leader in the On & Off-Highway, Mining, Power Generation and Marine market segments.

The Power Generation Engineering Manager reports into the Director of Engineering for Cummins South Pacific and directly contributes to the achievement of AOP objectives by leading a team of applications and service engineers in their efforts to support the sales, projects and service functions across the region.

Proactively leading the efforts of the Power Generation team will involve:
Ensuring relevant requirements are met through the design, installation and commission phases
Provision of advice on products, components and systems
Staff development including skills assessment and training
Identification and correction of application engineering deficiencies
Product issue identification and rectification

Along with a tertiary qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and significant experience with diesel/gas fired power generators, the successful applicant will bring experience in managing technical teams and the ability to build effective relationships with subordinates and customers alike.
