Our Technology team provides the essential digital infrastructure that underpins Pearson’s global portfolio of products and platforms. We have open and collaborative teams in place working to build efficient global platforms and scaling digital products to reach hundreds of millions of learners around the world, while delivering elastic, secure, data-driven services.

The Technology team also drives and coordinates how we work with technology partners to establish Pearson as a destination for innovation in education. Our aim is to ensure that our customers have access to more products and learning solutions in more regions while continually offering a high-quality user experience.

Desired Skills and Experience
We are seeking a capable and experienced Delivery Services Leader to take ownership of the planning, staffing, and execution of Pearson Australia Technology roadmap to ensure business objectives are met. This pivotal role will provide the overall structure and ongoing leadership to continuously improve the delivery of Pearson Technology solutions to our business stakeholders.

Reporting to the Vice-President of Technology Core, you will act as the primary point of contact for delivery of Technology services across Australia along with global alignment and participation/ownership of global delivery initiatives within Pearson Technology. You will be directly accountable for the financial and operational performance of delivery projects and ongoing service improvement and will have a proven track record delivering services in excess of 20 Million AUD.

As the successful candidate, you will be accustomed to working in a high pressure environment with heavy data compliance obligations. You will have an unrelenting passion for customer excellence and will relish the opportunity to engage both internal and external customers to drive successful customer outcomes and business profitability. A driven self-starter, you will see problems and actively work to solve them without instruction. You’re known for getting things done and exceeding expectations.

With a strong history of managing distributed teams in a matrixed global organization you will lead a hybrid (dedicated & leveraged) team of technology professionals to support objectives and sales pipeline inclusive of bid response management, presales support, and solutions consulting.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity ideally based in Melbourne. Office is located in Docklands (close to Southern Cross station).
