Manager - Group Reporting - Virgin Australia - Queensland

Job description
A high profile opportunity has arisen for a Group Reporting Manager within the Group Finance and Control division of Virgin Australia. As an ASX listed entity with an intricate operating structure, the successful individual will be exposed to a broad array of highly technical and complex accounting and reporting issues. The ability to build strong working relationships will be critical for the successful candidate in a rapidly changing commercial environment. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, Group Finance and Control this role is charged with:


Managing the preparation and presentation of the statutory financial statements (in accordance with regulatory requirements for the Virgin Australia Group and its subsidiaries)
Preparation of technical financial reporting position papers for consideration by Management and the Audit and Risk Management Committee
Preparation of finance reports for Group Operating subsidiaries
Project management of statutory financial audits

To be successful in this role you must have a comprehensive knowledge of management and financial accounting principles within an ASX listed company and the ability to deliver high level financial advice, support and board reporting. Proven leadership and time management skills are a must along with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. Degree qualifications in a relevant accounting discipline along with CA or CPA qualification is essential.
