Director - Corporate Lending - GE - Brisbane

Role Summary/Purpose:
This Associate Director role is a senior new business origination role in the Corporate Lending team in Brisbane. The primary focus is customer prospecting and lead generation from an assigned database of asset based lending and mid-market corporate finance prospects. Responsible for prospective client meetings, preparing presentations, analyzing data, database prioritization, account planning, and participating in credit, and deal structure processes.

Essential Responsibilities:
Strong sales and origination focus, generating new deal leads for mid-market prospects via cold calling and relationship building from an assigned database together with building strong relationships with new business introducers, including debt advisory firms. Data mine internal and outside sales databases to identify and prioritize corporate prospects and their decision makers. Prepare proposals, lead meetings and actively assist in analyzing prospects needs and structuring solutions. Review the financial information to assess operating performance, valuation and appropriate capital structure of selected prospects. Participate and coordinate interactive idea generation dialogue with key GE groups including Risk/Underwriting, Industry research team & Marketing. Prepare and present analytical materials (as necessary) to prospects to articulate strategic or financial rationale supporting the proposal. Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate the execution of deals.


Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years related experience including Direct Sales, Risk, Finance, Audit and/or Sales Database Management experience. Highly proficient in MS Office; Power point, Excel, Word. Excellent knowledge of financial statement analysis, working capital analysis, debt structuring, capital markets and the general business environment.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Proven sales success in commercial lending industry.
