Your new role:
The position of Associate Director offers the successful candidate the opportunity to take responsibility for the delivery of CFO Advisory services in Sydney to clients across the NSW Government sector to strengthen and broaden our relationships to drive the business forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Executing the NSW Government strategy within CFO Advisory. This encompasses building and maintaining key client relationships, identifying opportunities, developing propositions and project managing the delivery of our business growth initiatives. You will also work in conjunction with other KPMG teams to further establish CFO Advisory’s role and expertise in the firm and market.
•Managing client deliverables and expectations, including drafting client reports and presentations, as well as liaising with management, including developing and building on those relationships, throughout the engagement.
•Developing and participating in work teams consisting of representatives from CFO Advisory and other groups across the firm.
•Identifying opportunities for future service delivery, participating in business development initiatives, and driving the CFO Advisory practice forward.
You bring to the role:
As the successful candidate you will be CA equivalent qualified, with a solid accounting or audit background gained in Professional Services, and a proven track record of high performance and success. You will have had significant exposure to NSW Government finance functions, and have strong technical and government accounting skills. Additionally, you will have a detailed understanding of the operations, key financial and capital metrics and the regulatory environment in which the government operates. You will also have superior problem solving and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated project management skills. Naturally you will also prioritise excellent client service skills, have the ability to work in a diverse team and build effective client relationships and understand clients’ businesses.
