Financial Planning Lead - Shell - Perth

Job description
This role will give you a great understanding of Shell in Australia, and provide you with an opportunity to gather a deep insight into Australia’s portfolio of projects and assets as well as the strategic direction of the company. Not only will you work with the business in Australia, you will have exposure to Shell teams overseas.

You will provide business and financial planning services to Shell Upstream Australia internal and external stakeholders. Working in diverse multi-discipline teams with broad interfaces such as technical, commercial, economics and finance, you will run the planning process across the Shell Upstream Australia portfolio as part of the annual business plan.

As part of this role you will be required to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial and planning information and develop and support financial planning models. You will also work closely with reporting teams looking at performance compared to the business plan.

Desired Skills and Experience
We are searching for a talented individual who displays courage to take up new challenges. To be successful in this role you will be a Finance professional with CPA or equivalent qualifications, and will have ideally worked for a major Finance & Accounting practice before transitioning into the resources industry. This role would suit a Finance Manager who has previously worked with business teams. You will have strong financial modeling and excel skills, experience with SAP and reporting and analysis tools, along with planning experience. The ability to drive process development and continuous improvement will be an advantage.
