Head of Delivery for Cloud / Mobility business for APJ Region

This is an opportunity to lead the delivery capability of a market leading and highly successful cloud business which is expanding rapidly in Asia Pacific.

The focus and key KPI is on rapid project implementation of best practice cloud based applications to tier 1 banks, telcos and utilities across the region.

The head of delivery (for cloud / mobility business) is responsible for the delivery of 30+ concurrent client projects in 10+ countries. Most projects are relatively fast paced small pieces of work and the head of delivery will need to stay on top of project status and resource allocation in a constantly moving environment.

Reporting to the MD for cloud / mobility business for APAC, the head of delivery will be expected to be driving continuous business improvement in the delivery methodology and training to continue to reduce time to implementation.

There will also be very close working relationship with various global functions including offshore delivery, infrastructure and product teams.

This role is a blend between hands on leading the delivery team and strategically delivering longer term speed of delivery success and scalability across the region.

Desired Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
Managing delivery of 30+ concurrent software projects in a rapid delivery environment to a tier 1, blue chip, client base
Creating and maintaining of project delivery schedules & resource allocation schedule
Day to day management of business analysts based in 4 countries
Day to day co-ordination of delivery & QA team based in India
Key issue identification and resolution on projects
Identification and implementation of process improvement to increase speed of delivery
Remain hands on in project delivery to assist with driving any issues to quick resolution
Work closely with technical teams and suppliers both internal and external to the company
Co-ordinate meetings/reviews with internal teams for the initiation of projects and at regular intervals throughout the project lifecycle
Balance task execution and communications in a short term, dynamic, high intensity environment
Project reporting both internally & externally

Required Skills & Experience
Strong relationship management and a pragmatic approach to project management
Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent software projects in a rapid delivery environment
Extensive experience scheduling software development projects using shared resource pooling
Previous experience working for a software vendor as part of a global team
At least 5 years’ experience managing Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers and Testers
Strong technical design documentation & analytical skills
Experience in implementing and delivering business process applications and understanding of contact center processes, technology and workflows
Strong track record in managing relationships with tier 1 clients, 3rd parties and internal stakeholders
Computing science degree with previous software development or quality assurance experience
Experience delivering SAAS solutions is preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication
Experience with delivering banking solutions specifically collections would be highly regarded
