Joining our Power Products High Voltage (PPHV) team in Moorebank, your core responsibility will be to ensure all project and contract management activities for high voltage switchgear are developed and executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, cost/profitability targets, and scheduling targets. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve both strategic and tactical project elements and you will draw on your innate ability to utilise and optimise available resources. Success will be achieved through your ability to foster collective responsibility to ensure project goals, objectives and performance targets are met.

Reporting to Local Product Group Manager, key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Leads the project and contract management team and support the definition of the task force organization by assigning project managers and contract administrators to projects and contracts based on competencies, customers and availability
Participates in the area budget definition by supporting management and controllers.
Supervises project and contract execution and performance through regular scheduled reviews with management to ensure adherence to contract
Builds and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate and oversee team development and standardise process development to support long-term effectiveness of project management teams
Leads the team in project / contract execution making sure that procedures and standards are followed
Cooperates with supply management in supplier selection and monitoring ongoing performance
Ensure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times

Desired Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role you will possess PMP® certification from the Project Management Institute or equivalent PM certification and a Engineering degree or equivalent. Previous exposure to High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear &/or Generator Circuit Breaker would be preferred. Furthermore, you will possess at least 8 years’ project and operations management experience within the electrical engineering industry and be an experienced leader in motivating and leading teams. A track record of delivering large complex projects within time and budget constraints will ensure your success in this challenging role.

Further to this you will have sound fault finding and problem solving skills. Your business acumen will be unmatched, and your proven ability to build effective relationships will determine your success in this role. This role will require travel in order to address project / contract and site issues.
