Marketing Department’s Objectives: Support Divisional business plans with marketing strategies to:
•Build brand preference and drive usage of all MasterCard products.
•Source market share growth from competitors and cash.
•Provide specialist and skilled resources for our Issuers to achieve optimum mutual portfolio profitability.
•Develop and manage alliances, sponsorships and strategic partnerships to build our brand preference and drive usage.

Accountabilities / Key Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager

Major Accountabilities: Responsible for supporting issuer and product marketing strategy development, marketing program ideation through execution (including pre and post market results tracking and analysis), working with agencies, internal cross-functional teams and management to deliver against issuer (banks, retailers, airlines etc) and MasterCard objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
1.Oversee implementation and execution of marketing activities and campaigns including:
a.Responsible for briefing relevant agencies & organisations for advertising, sales and marketing support materials
b.Work to implement MasterCard led strategies and marketing campaigns through issuer channels
c.Identify and prioritise tactical marketing opportunities at the issuer-level to drive agreed mutual objectives for the issuer and MasterCard eg driving credit card usage campigns, debit card activation campaigns etc.
d.Source and fulfill marketing assets/services for customized campaigns, or as part of broader issuer campaigns leveraging MasterCard sponsorship assets

2.Campaign Measurement, Tracking and Performance Reports
a.Responsible for setting up performance measures for all campaigns
b.Responsible for regular reporting and analysis of campaign results to plan
c.Responsible for preparing post analysis reports for each campaign
d.Work with each issuer to ensure results for campaign tracking and analysis are received and shared in a timely manner

3.Track issuer marketing budget to plan:
a.Day to day management of budget lines for campaigns, promotions, and other initiatives and maintain and prepare issuer marketing budget tracker

4.Support Cross-Functional Teams with sell-in process to Issuers.
a.Contribute to the Issuer planning process for product launches, issuer marketing plans, merchant offers and other initiatives
b.Prepare marketing content to support cross functional teams (e.g. product owners, account managers etc) when collaborating with their contacts at issuing banks.
c.Ensure Issuer Toolkit is current and turnkey content is maintained.

5.Manage World Benefit Program.
a.Management of World benefits site updates including input to offer content selection, updating of key ongoing collateral, for both Australia and New Zealand markets
b.Responsible for selecting exclusive offer content for World issuers as per contractual obligations

Experience/Education

Requirements:
•Degree preferred supported by solid Marketing experience in the payments industry
•Creative, resourceful with strong analytical and numeracy skills and consulting mindset with the ability to manage projects effectively
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as good presentation skills, negotiation and organizational skills.
•Able to work in collaboration, across various layers of management, with multi-disciplinary work teams in delivering at country level marketing efforts
•Able to manage and lead multiple projects and customers across geographies simultaneously
•Digital marketing experience would be an added advantage
•Results focused. Ability to jointly drive marketing programs with issuers to gain results and build long term strategic partnerships.
•Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude, aligned with the MasterCard values of trust, agility, partnership and initiative
