Position Description
EGENCIA is seeking a Managing Director to lead the business in Australia. Australia is one of the largest and fastest growing markets for Egencia worldwide. The acquisition of Travelforce in 2011 has been the stepping stone for
accelerated growth in the market. With more than 30 years of experience in the Australian market, Travelforce has had a history of combining superior service and leading technology. Aligning with Egencias own core principles and brand, the combined company
is now offering a more comprehensive service; helping clients reduce business costs, improve travel processes and maintain traveler safety and security.

The role is to define and implement business strategies allowing the business in Australia to grow in line with Egencia global strategy, and provide high-level leadership to the organization. The MD will be accountable for delivery
of all sales and marketing targets and the P&L for Australia. The MD will also ensure high quality of customer service support to the various client groups.

Responsibilities:

Strategy and business planning

Formulate long and midterm business strategy for the Australian business. Develop a vision taking into account market trends, competitive risks and opportunities, strengths and challenges of the organisation.

Implement business models and processes to build up a high performing and flexible organisation to continue improving execution and profitability.

Develop collaborative partnerships within the corporate travel industry and the wider business community in Australia through relevant networking activities and existing strategic partnerships.

Sales & Marketing

Plan and execute sales and marketing strategy in line with Egencia overall strategy. Drive growth by developing and leading a strong market presence and capable sales force. Take ownership for sales, pipeline and marketing.

Develop Egencia presence in the Australian market. Position Egencia as the reference Travel Management Company.

Be the lead sales of Egencia. Promote Egencia high value offering on all its markets/segments.

P&L Management

Build the whole budget for the Australia entity. Endorse the ownership of this budget.

Deliver P&L objectives and guarantee the level of profitability.

Drive the development of growth margin by defining new sources of revenue and improving cost of sales in cooperation with GCS organisation.

Work in close collaboration with the support functions such as HR, Finance, Legal and Technology to achieve targets.

Team management

Resource and structure the Australia team. Ensure the onboarding of highly driven individuals with proven track record of high performance on the acquisition, the account management and customer service teams.

Lead, drive and coach all teams and employees towards strategic plans and the realisation of qualitative and quantitative targets. The latter includes engaging on coaching and developing employees to reach their highest
potential for the company.

Build and develop the team to ensure long term growth.

Manage direct line reporting teams such as Sales, Marketing, Account Management and Customer Service.

Supervise dotted line reporting groups such as Finance and Human Resources.

Define the resources needed to achieve planned targets.

Define the targets for individual teams in line with the organisations target.

Focuses on ensuring the motivation and engagement levels are high throughout the Australia group.

Communication

Be the voice of the Australia business for external communication, in line with the PR Group policy.

Manage cross groups communication.

Be an active member of the APAC leadership team

Coordinate with others MDs in Europe, APAC and Americas to ensure consistency is maintained with all policies (eg sales, positioning, pricing, service delivery, HR).

Propose and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies to develop the activity in line with Egencia sales process and tools.

Look for opportunities to become more cost effective by implementing regional outsource strategies.

Share knowledge, expertise and is willing to take on ad-hoc projects as they emerge.
