Job Title: Manager People Strategy

Location: Sydney, Australia

Job Summary:

The People Strategist partners with respective Account and Business Leads to achieve business growth and performance objectives. They create and consult on the people strategy across a set number of accounts and businesses, to enable the highest performance and alignment of our people within this business. As such, the Manager People Strategist is a key member of People Success and works closely with the People Success Lead in their geography and respective teams in other geographies

Travel: Additionally, occasional travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic People Consulting

Partners and advises respective business leaders on people growth strategies and enabling high potential
Drives talent and performance management programs and performance differentiation across region/ business teams
Diagnoses trends / issues with key people drivers for the business (such as: performance, high potential / top performers, new hires) and facilitates solutions
Consults with regional Compensation and Benefits Lead on appropriate in market strategies

People Success Operations

Effectively manages transactional/administrative processes across the full range of HR activities (New hires and on-boarding, Employee Life Cycle, Sickness, Leavers)
Provides practical employment law advice to business and domain leaders
Ensures compliance auditing of policies and processes
Collaborate with and facilitate cross-team decision-making among the People success Team and other internal teams
Actively drives /participates people operational initiatives, including process improvement activities, new policy roll-out and development of best practice
Partners with the Centers of Excellence on local roll-outs of people programs

People Management Development

Facilitates development and effectiveness of people management within their region/ business teams (new hire onboarding, performance assessments and growth, difficult conversations, etc.)
Facilitates skills development for project / domain leaders in regards to people relations
(from a risk, legal, compliance perspective);
Diagnoses trends around people issues and facilitates behavioral and process changes
Supports regional and global learning programs roll-out in the region/ business teams

Connection and Alignment

Ensures alignment of people strategy with our Strategy and Vision across the region/ business teams
Advises and facilitates relevant change activities within the account to coach leadership on messaging and change management

Shared responsibilities

In addition there are shared team responsibilities across the group

Requirements:

Total HR experience of 7-10 years
Minimum of 6 years of professional work experience in HR (in generalist and specialist functions)
Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders
Strong facilitation skills
Ability to work in cross – functional / global teams
Effective presentation and consultation skills
Ability to effectively work with project teams and clients
Team Player
Strong Written & Verbal communication skills in English

Education:

Degree with a specialization in HR / IR / OB / OD is a must

MBA preferred
