The Portfolio Management & Originations (PMO) Funds team is a key business unit that sits within Global Institutional Banking supporting the Client Coverage team in aspects of origination, execution, and on-going management and monitoring of an existing portfolio. Primary responsibilities therefore include financial and credit risk analysis, managing the credit approval process and all elements of client portfolio management and reporting.

As the Director PMO 'Funds' you will manage and develop a group of experienced professionals (Analyst to A/Dir level), to support the client coverage function across Real Money, Superannuation and Alternative Fund customers. Further to this you'll work closely with the Head of Funds and Insurance to lead development of their sectors risk capacity and portfolio optimisation strategies.


Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


Driving and facilitating the credit process on behalf of the sector including review and sign-off on credit submissions.
Meeting with clients as necessary to undertake debt origination and portfolio management responsibilities.
Evaluate the amount, structure, term and basis of all credit facilities within the Funds sector
Direct research and analysis to develop industry/sector expertise and knowledge.
Work closely with the coverage team to help determine risk capacity for the industry and industry participants.

To be successful you'll have relevant tertiary qualifications in the Finance/Business industry with a minimum of 8 years experience in the Banking industry – ideally working within Funds / FIG in a credit or client coverage role at the Director or Associate Director level. You'll have proven leadership experience, combined with a strong knowledge of financial market products and an awareness of market related risks as well as domestic and offshore regulations and accounting standards.
