General Manager- Exploration Services - HDR - Salva - Brisbane

Job description
HDR | Salva, a Brisbane based mining and geological consultancy with strong values and a talented team is seeking a highly motivated leader with at least 12 years' experience in coal exploration geology (metals geology experience is also highly desirable), a strong work ethic and exceptional organisational skills for the pivotal senior role of General Manager - Exploration Services.

A position is available immediately due to internal movement within the company.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this role will lead the development and growth of our exploration departments in both coal and metals while providing support to the environmental and land access team.

The key focus of the role will be liaising with clients, internal team development and business development. As such, the successful candidate will have a strong client focus and commercial acumen in addition to a genuine passion for fostering internal personnel development.

Additionally, the successful person will have the following experience and qualifications:

• A minimum of 12 years' experience in coal geology (and experience in metals) within the exploration/ mining/resources sector
• A strong knowledge of the Queensland (and greater Australian) mining and exploration industry
• Tertiary qualifications in geology
• Previous consulting or contracting experience
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

This role is Brisbane CBD based and will involve regular site visits to the team and clients.

A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated depending on qualifications and experience.
