Position Description

SUMMARY
Human Resources Manager, Sydney provides support towards the overall Human Resources function for all business groups at Sydney, Australia except GLG. Will provide the HR business partner local support for Egencia Australia and Expedia Australia while also looking after the generalist aspects for Australia. This position is an Individual Contributor Position and is based in Sydney, Australia and reports directly to the Senior Director, HR-APAC.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Provide HR support to the country for Expedia and Egencia (excluding GLG) regarding all HR matters including

Compensation and benefits programs, Incentive Programs, Performance Management Programs, HR and Company policies, New Hire On-Boarding, Payroll vendor and employee records management, HRIS and Employee communication, talent management, succession planning, learning & development etc along with the global HRBP support;

Provide on-going HR generalist support at all levels in the organization excluding GLG;

Handle complex employee-relations issues from end-to-end, resolve employee issues through a systematic approach and thus manage employee relations;

Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on employee relations issues, investigate formal employee complaints, recommend companys response to the employee, and minimize exposure to liability by ensuring legal requirements are met in terms of employee relations;

Provide employee related consultation at all levels of the organization excluding GLG;

Partner with Senior Director (HR) , APAC and location senior leadership team of Expedia and Egencia (excluding GLG) to develop and implement initiatives to meet the business goals and improve current processes and programs;

Support the current and future needs of the business by working with regional resources if required, business leaders, and employees to drive a variety of core accountability areas;

Partner across Expedia & Egencia locations to drive consistency, best practice sharing, and program implementation across the network as and when needed;

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

6+ years of HR and/or business experience encompassing all areas of Human Resources;

Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related area;

Masters degree (e.g., MBA) preferred;

Thorough knowledge of Employment Law applications in Australia;

Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in employee relations, performance management, HR process & policy design and execution and employee engagement in Australia;

Demonstrated ability to implement and contribute towards driving human resources programs in a complex environment;
