About the Role
McAfee’s client base is growing as are the range of products and solutions we bring to our customers. You will be taking a lead role is developing these relationships and use your experience in analysing, designing and deploying security solutions to our customers.
You will be challenged with maximising revenue potential of McAfee products and solutions through development and management of end customer opportunities and managing the overall territory performance.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned revenue quota
- Responsible for managing and growing territory, maximizing short term revenue, building future sales pipeline through demonstrated account and territory planning
- Working with our sales engineering team and other areas of McAfee in closing complex networking-security opportunities at the C-Level
- Partner with other business units in identifying other opportunities outside your core product portfolio
- Engage with and sell through appropriate channel partners
- Identify and develop successful long-term opportunities alongside managed partners to grow new business for McAfee
- Facilitate relationships between the McAfee field sales team and the key partner sales and consulting teams to ensure that account mapping is completed and joint account plans developed
- Building and maintaining a constant/future accurate pipeline
- Develop, maintain and implement account plans and opportunity plans
- Management of sales CRM tool
- Managing your own time and attend team meetings & account reviews.
- Keep knowledge up to date of the Security market and meet training targets to maintain a thorough. Understanding of McAfee products, process and promotions to provide the highest levels of sales support
Qualifications
- You must have experience with direct selling of software solutions; experience in the security sector is an advantage
- Proven experience winning "new names" and displacing Competition
- A self-starter needing low level management time and attention to perform day to day responsibilities
- Experienced, competent and comfortable with Board Level negotiations
- Works closely with and understands how to engage members of the technical services and professional services organization early in the sales cycle
- Understands the market issues and trends affecting business and use of IT
- Experience working with the Channel
- Must be computer literate with email, Internet, word processing and spreadsheets
- Clear, accurate and concise reporting
- Outstanding communication skills; both verbal and written
- Proven consistent experience in quota attainment selling security or networking services
- Direct selling expertise, 'hunter' mentality. Working knowledge of channel sales model and utilizing the channel to drive revenue
- Formal sales training and proven proficiency in implementing planned sales campaigns, such as Target Account Selling methodology or other Sales/Business methodologies
