Job Title: Account Director

Job Summary:

This is a role that will challenge you, in all the right ways, and give you a genuine opportunity to work across everything from brand strategy to e-commerce and technology solutions. A creative thinker, you will be entrepreneurial in spirit and commercially focused, with a drive to build new business and nurture new relationships.

Working with a high performing team, this role will see you managing multiple lines of business with multiple clients, developing high-level strategic plans thanks to your ability to understand client marketing and business objectives. You’ll drive strategic plans and objectives for clients within the agency, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities:

Single point of accountability within Sapient for a determined set of client relationships

Drive strategic initiatives for clients towards specific measurable business goals

Generate project and creative briefs to illustrate the essential elements of a project including objectives, strategies, target audience, background, and executional considerations

Develop and cultivate relationships with clients at the most senior levels

Communicate and disseminate client requests to team; manage client expectations; manage internal communications and external communication with vendors & media partners

Drive commercial contributions towards company growth as well as account profitability

Understand the unique opportunities and challenges of the markets in which clients operate

Stay abreast of trends in the digitally enabled world and how they affect clients’ business and marketing initiatives

Develop case studies on clients’ business

Experience Guidelines:

8 -10 years of account management experience in an agency environment

Strong interactive background a must

Accountability for budget or client revenue of -4m+

3+ years of client executive experience with primary accountability for peer-level client relationships at the Director and Vice President levels

Experienced with multiple campaign lifecycles from business development to final delivery

Experience leading teams with multiple discipline representation (especially technology, creative, media and strategy)

Category knowledge of retail and financial services would be highly advantageous

Frequent travel may be required

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required
