Our Drilling & Completions Procurement division is undergoing an exciting growth phase at the moment at we are currently seeking a talented Category Specialist to join our team. Based in Brisbane, our Drillings & Completions team work closely with both our Australia Pacific LNG project and the broader business. You'll have the opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest and most cost effective CSG projects well past export phase and also support the wider business through D&C contract management processes.
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you'll be responsible for prioritising and aligning the sourcing and contract management processes across your category to procure the most cost effective services. You'll use your proven track record of writing strategies for procurement and recommendations for awarding contracts to facilitate the effective use of commercial models and the selection of proven contractors. As part of the Drilling & Completions Supply Chain team you'll assist the Senior Category Manager to oversee contracts and agreements in order to drive optimum service quality and value for money from our suppliers. You'll use your experience in developing and managing RFI's, RFP's and RFQ's and evaluation of responses to develop and manage supplier strategies and negotiations. You'll be responsible for liaising with contracts administrators to monitor existing contracts and you'll use your negotiation skills to renew and renegotiate contracts that are due for renewal or need to be better aligned to APLNG or Origin Energy's policies. You'll mostly be based in Brisbane but will be required to occasionally visit sites as required.
We're ideally looking for someone to join us who has:
• Experience working within an owner- operator environment
• Exposure to supply chain management within a major project
• A proven track record of the negotiation and formation, award and execution of a variety of contracts
• Exposure to Rig & Wellsite Services or Materials / Work Order Solutions will be very highly regarded
