Vodafone is looking for an inspiring creative leader with energy and vision to manage the Digital User Experience Design Team.

The Digital Channels team is responsible for the end-to-end online customer experience. We are on a journey of transformation, to deliver a world-class online experience to our customers through mobile-leading self service and an effortless online shopping experience. Vodafone is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic person to lead the Digital User Experience and Design team.

As the team lead you will report into the General Manager Digital and will lead and inspire a talented team of user experience practitioners and visual designers. Key to your success will be your ability to communicate the customer experience vision and objectives to business stakeholders and delivery teams across the Digital group.

You will help drive change within the Digital team to have more of a focus on customer value and will be instrumental in bringing design thinking into our product development process.

Responsibilities

Provide regular mentoring, feedback and guidance both individually and as a team to the User Experience Design Team
Work with individuals in your team around career development and continual improvement
Promote continuous design practices suitable for agile software delivery, such as rapid prototyping, continuous user testing and iterative design
Promote a customer centric point of view and demonstrate thought leadership in all aspects of interaction design, customer strategy and user research
Work closely with the Sales and Service, Marketing and IT domains to ensure close alignment with plans across the organisation
Adhere to Vodafone policies and procedures as introduced and varied from time to time
Experience

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate your creative leadership of digital design teams and a portfolio of successful online and mobile sites and applications. You have strong people leadership skills and are able to influence key stakeholders. You will have experience of Agile delivery practices and demonstrate outstanding user experience design complimented by a strong commercial and business acumen. Your experience in digital telcos, online self-service and e-commerce will be highly regarded. Above all you want to work within a dynamic and progressive environment.
