The Product team within Vodafone Australia manages a diverse portfolio, across three key categories, ranging from Voice, Data (Internet), and Network.

Vodafone Australia is one of the most exciting turnarounds in the global telecommunications industry. At the heart of this transformation is the rebuild of our brand and credibility in our network through our Product marketing team.

The purpose of this role is to lead the Network Product Management program and a team of 3 product managers for Vodafone Australia, to transform customer perception of our brand. It drives a customer-focused approach to the management and development of our network.

The position is responsible for defining (based on insights), developing, and executing the three year product roadmap whilst also leading a team of Product Managers and cross functional teams.


More specifically, the appointee will achieve success by:

Owning & delivering budgeted product revenues: (including but not limited to Core Postpay Voice: Domestic and International Voice, core tariffs, Vodafone Red, International Roaming OR Network based services: 3G and 4G, national regional roaming, our coverage checker , network star ratings, Vodafone Network Guarantee, and Local Area Marketing as it relates to network)

Driving the performance of current and future Products across all channels, including population (acquisition, churn, other Lifecycle components), mix performance, ARPU/AMPU management, and taking action to stop/start activity as required

Staying ahead of the game, supporting the General Manager Postpay & the Head of Products to own & drive strategic direction and roadmap delivery

Drive the development of the end-to-end annual (and quarterly) product roadmap specifically including Capex requirements.

Lead the ‘future’ product roadmap planning process, aligned with the strategic direction of the business, and manage the communication of this roadmap across the business

Deliver end to end ownership of the Postpaid Data Products, Prepaid MBB Product, Premium SMS Products and Content Products

Work collaboratively across the business, gaining buy in and support, in order to deliver the end to end product lifecycle with the right overall commercial focus.

Experience required

Comprehensive Product Marketing knowledge (across Pre and Postpaid) and strong strategic skills
Proven experience of managing high performing teams
Strong Commercial acumen with demonstrated ability in commercial decision making
Data Driven bias – with demonstrated competency in monitoring and reporting business benefit lead performance
Strong understanding of Consumer markets: Postpaid, Prepaid, Networks, and Data markets in particular.
Extensive industry experience of Mobile or Internet Service Provider telecommunications space
Senior Product Management background
In depth experience in a Consumer Marketing role – specifically with a Product background
Strong Market understanding and the ability to direct the execution of product strategies through development to ensure commercial success
Strong interpersonal and team building skills
Strong stakeholder impact and influence skills at the Executive level
