Director - Sales and Marketing - Accor - Sydney


Job description
Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be an integral part of the hotel's management team and will be responsible for the overall Sales and Marketing function, including but not limited to the following:
• Develop, sustain, maximise yield and grow business from all target market segments to meet the budgeted revenue
• Manage strong relationships with senior decision makers from key PCO’s, meeting planners, corporate accounts, travel agents and 3rd party websites
• Set and review sales strategy for business development across the key portfolios of corporate, MICE and leisure segments
• Assist in the development of sales strategies for reservations sales, and conference and event sales
• Develop, implement and monitor sales and marketing campaigns
• Assist and drive loyalty and digital strategies across the complex
• Provide input into the Business Unit's annual budget
• Liaise with regional and corporate offices on relevant initiatives

• Staff development - drive and mentor a great team
• Handle client complaints and forward on to relevant departments
• Key member of the hotel leadership team
• Participate and contribute at owners meetings

Desired Skills and Experience
To apply for this role, you will need:
• At least two years proven experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience in a recognised hotel brand, excellent time management and administration skills
• Effective communication skills leading to proven rapport building ability
