Media Director - Australian Sports Commission - Canberra

Job description
We have an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic individual to build and drive a media strategy, through established and purposeful relationships, to promote the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Institute of Sport programs and priorities. You will lead a small team to provide strategic media advice and responses on diverse, sensitive and complex issues relating to sport, and develop reporting systems to monitor and analyse media impact.

Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A degree or higher qualification/s and demonstrated senior level experience in media relations, PR communications, and or journalism;
Demonstrated strong, successful issues management experience;
Experience in working both proactively and reactively in a dynamic organisation and providing strategic advice to senior Executives; and
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to write content for various audiences.
