Director, Brand Marketing (Fixed Term Contract)
Role Purpose
The Director, Brand Marketing is a key member of the Brand Expedia ANZ leadership team and will have (during the maternity leave cover period) accountability for managing/fine-tuning and implementing the Expedia.com.au/Expedia.co.nz brand marketing strategy. This position requires a dynamic leader, an excellent communicator who is self-driven, highly creative, motivated and able to lead staff, peer groups and executives in all areas of marketing.
The role is including Brand Marketing, PR and Social - leading the marketing organization (internal staff and external agencies) to achieve its aggressive business goals.
Job Description
• Embrace, refine (where required) and be the custodian of the overall marketing vision and brand strategy for Expedia ANZ
• Drive strategic direction and execution for brand marketing, PR and Social
• Refine and execute consistently, across all touch-points the best customer value proposition and related communication
strategy, based on data/research/experience/benchmarks where needed
• Identify, evaluate and quantify market trends and growth opportunities.
• Adapt and optimize our marketing resources, by determining optimal investments in an ever evolving market
• Drive collaboration with global counterparts and represent the Expedia ANZ brand team in Expedia global
• Drive collaboration across the Expedia ANZ GMO and retail channels
•Build a world-class marketing team through attracting and cultivating talent
•Own and deliver against the agreed Brand Marketing KPIs
Qualifications / Requirements
• Previous, successful Director Marketing or Senior Marketing Manager
• Significant relevant experience in consumer-facing online retail and highly recognized consumer brands known for outstanding,
creative, and low-cost marketing strategies; marketing experience of Online Travel is a plus
• A high degree of customer centricity; a real expert in defining & execution a highly relevant customer value proposition
• Proven ability to leverage analytics to inform and influence decision-making
• Ability to develop new insights and apply innovative solutions to make organizational improvements while encouraging
creative thinking and innovation
• Entrepreneurial and analytical; effective at managing change in a fast-moving and constantly evolving business
• A people leader, with proven success record at collaborating at different levels of an international organization
• Outstanding academic credentials with University degree (required), and an MBA from a top-tier international school desirable
