Director - Operations - Dippin' Dots - Melbourne


Job description
It is the duty of the Director of Operations in Australia to oversee the strategic planning and growth for the Dippin’ Dots brand in Australia in conjunction with the US Corporate Office. This position will include: budgetary/fiduciary responsibility for Dippin’ Dots Australia, guidance for the Australian dealer recruitment, transaction compliance, contract negotiations and dealer awards. In addition, the Director of Operations in Australia will coordinate contract updates with existing dealer owners and interact with the support staff concerning day to day operations issues as well as prepare submissions for assessment by the Australian Authorized Dealer Review Council concerning new/renewal dealer award requests, compliance defaults and termination decisions. The Director of Operations will also be responsible for the general management of the distribution depot in Melbourne and the day to day activities of the company.



Responsibilities under the functional areas and sub-categories include:

Development Functions
Daily oversight and management of the Dippin’ Dots Australia team.
Assess feasibility of converting from a dealer system to a franchise system.
Strategic planning and coordination of the dealer applicant qualification process.
Insure all materials and media for use as sales aids for the department are current, accurate and in compliance with all Australian as well as relative state and/or licensing legal jurisdictions.
Approve new applicants for submission to the Australian Authorized Dealer Review Council from prior clearing by the Australian Authorized Dealer Development Manager.
Monitor all contract mailings and fee payment.
Insure updated venues and channels are available for new sale activity as well as revisions to existing performance and development schedules.
Oversee Compliance with authorized dealer registration.

Operations Functions
Communicate with all Dippin’ Dots Australia staff and insure consistency of the training, marketing and operational components that support the Dippin’ Dots brand.
Diligently pursue the growth objectives for the various channels of distribution for the Dippin’ Dots product lines.
Manage the day to day functions of the business including, warehouse, distribution, sales, and business development.

Desired Skills and Experience
Management experience specific to ice cream franchising is preferred.
Manufacturing experience also a plus but not required.
