Job Description
The role of Deputy Projects Director has been newly created to lead and drive the successful delivery of projects across the Queensland Coal Seam Gas (CSG) Business Unit. The key accountability areas of this high profile role will be to work collaboratively with the General Manager - Queensland CSG and the Project Director – Australia Pacific LNG to implement best practice project management, establish and deploy optimum project management resourcing models and lead the team through the change required to excel in project management delivery.
Reporting to the General Manager - Queensland CSG, the Deputy Projects Director will provide project management leadership for a portfolio of projects at varying degrees of maturity, all contributing to the overall success of the Origin Upstream business. You will facilitate a common engineering and project controls structure, improving the overall portfolio performance, whilst ensuring safety and sound financial management of projects.

Desired Skills & Experience
A demonstrated background of program / project management with substantial experience in the oil & gas industry ideally with significant brownfields project experience, coupled with tertiary qualifications in engineering or project management will be the base to build this role on. You will possess excellent leadership skills, superior influencing and relationship building capability, varied commercial exposure including administration of budgets and contracts as well as having a thorough understanding of project risk and governance. Driven and energetic, you will be someone motivated by the day-to-day challenges of bringing projects to a successful conclusion.
