Internal Communications Specialist - Red Hat - Brisbane


Job description
Red Hat is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist to promote our Engineering Tools within the organisation. The role has significant scope developing global internal communications strategy as well as being involved in local external events promoting Red Hat. Working closely with a team of software engineers, testers, and graphic designers, your role will be a pivotal function within the company, using effective communication to close the communication gap and engage our internal customers and users.

Primary Job Responsibilites:
Design and implement marketing strategies that increase our internal corporate presence.
Develop a comprehensive marketing communication plan for internal software applications.
Work with corporate communications and branding teams to make sure corporate standards are upheld.
Use effective communication techniques to make globalization irrelevant - make it feel like our team is present in other offices where we are not physically located.
Collate market research and provide feedback to the product requirements team.
Prepare Marketing materials including presentations, product information sheets, and assist with development of training materials.
Work with the local office management and recruitment teams in local activities and campaigns.
Complete special projects and perform other duties from time to time as requested.

Desired Skills and Experience
A bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications.
At least 3 years relevant Marketing or Communications experience – preferably product/marketing of software products.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with the proven ability to write to an audience.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate facts into meaningful analysis.
Results driven.
Attention to detail.
Thrive in a fast paced ever changing environment.
