THE ROLE
Amadeus currently has an exciting opportunity to join our Network Control Services team based in Sydney. Network Controllers form part of the global 24x7 team monitoring the Amadeus network to identify and recover from incidents as quickly as possible. This group also performs changes within scope and approves and controls changes to the network by other teams.
We are actively seeking all levels of Network Controller.
1. Network Controller Level I
2. Network Controller Level II
3. Senior Network Controller
The key accountabilities for these roles include:
To monitor the Amadeus Network status.
To recover incidents as quickly as possible
To prepare and perform changes in scope of Network Operations’ responsibility.
To approve and control changes made to the Network by other Global Operations teams and post implementation, to validate and closely monitor the changed environment.
To manage equipment faults ensuring that hardware is repaired or replaced.
To report and follow-up on issues with services from external providers.
To create, review and update operational procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential to the role will be strong overall network knowledge and skills working with LAN, WAN, TCP/IP protocol suite, Cisco and other network devices. You will possess tertiary technical qualifications, preferably a University degree or equivalent network certification and demonstrable skills working with large scale international networks.
The successful candidate will bring professional experience gained in a complex, high-availability, high-transaction environment where performance and reliability are critical. Exposure to major network providers is desirable.
