PayPal Australia is looking for a Marketing Manager of Point of Sale to focus on growing the use of PayPal by consumers on their mobile phone in stores on a contract basis.

Role Purpose

To drive the development of marketing strategies & implement the programme to support the successful merchandising of PayPal offline payment options at the point of sale with small retail merchants, support the sales process with Channel Partners, and to drive strong consumer trial and habituation in switching consumers from how they are paying today to paying with PayPal as PayPal rolls out more ways to pay with PayPal in the offline world.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the end to end programme and marketing calendar for POS Marketing activities to drive consumer education, promote trial and build habituation
Develop in store and “at point of sale” merchandising and collateral to educate consumers and promote trial of a new way to pay
Develop collateral to support the sales process for Channel Partners and for the Direct Field Sales Force
Develop incentive, education and advocacy programme for Retailers and their staff members
Partner effectively with Cross Functional teams to shape future strategy and expansion plans and to implement the total programme.
Own accountability for delivery of the plans and delivery of all financial and non financial metrics – provide regular reporting on performance against the plan and status of development of programme and initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

Consumer Marketer with Route/Impulse Trade, Retail or Food and Beverage Industry experience. Ideal background would be FMCG/Retail Industries.
5-7 years' Blue Chip Marketing Experience
Degree Qualified
Strong experience in project management and programme delivery
Experience in working with above the line and below the line agencies
Highly numerate and comfortable with tracking and analysis of financial metrics
High energy, passionate, and very outcomes /results focused
Interest in technology, innovation and a desire to be a part of an exciting disruptive industry
Outstanding communicator and experienced in complex stakeholder management
Great problem solver, creative with a desire to deliver innovative marketing
Positive team player who is motivated by being part of, and succeeding as a team.
