Business Development Manager - SEMA Operations - Melbourne


Job description

SEMA is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our Vic sales team.

Please note that while our office is based in North Laverton, the majority of client activity will be in the CBD and inner suburbs.



About the Role:

This is a vital role in supporting the company's sales growth. Specific responsibilities include:

Develop and implement sales strategies for the procurement of new name business
Secure new name business
Develop a strong sales pipeline and proactively manage for success
Engage in activity to identify and qualify new business opportunities
Develop quotations and proposals and assist with tenders where required
Maintain a complete record of all client/prospect activity to ensure an accurate CRM and to facilitate the accurate forecasting of revenue
Work with the client delivery team to manage the seamless transition of new business into SEMA
Account manage a small portfolio of clients as required

Desired Skills and Experience

We require a results driven candidate who has a can do attitude and the following skills/experience:

Previous experience in a business development role across tier 1/2 accounts (previous exposure to the direct marketing, mailing or print industry will be well regarded)
A proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
Excellent customer focus and presentation skills
Proven ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with key client stakeholders
Proactive and innovative approach
Demonstrated commercial acumen
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to prioritise and multi-task
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline will be well regarded
