Director - Economy & Midscale Brands - AccorHotels - Sydney


Job description
Reporting to the Vice President Marketing & Communications and leading a team of three, this role is responsible for developing and executing the consumer marketing and communications strategy for the Novotel, Mercure & Ibis brands.

Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide strategy and direction to the brand and hotel teams in the development of ibis, Novotel and Mercure activities.

To be the champion of Consumer insight for the Economy and Midscale sectors within Accor.
To drive the activity the brands undertake with strategic business partners.
Work with external agencies and Design & Technical Services team to optimise public spaces and merchandising in hotels.
Develop a 12 month brand roadmap including new products, services and experiences. Understand and interpret global strategies and through liaison with the global brand team in Paris, ensure the brand identity is adhered to and localised where appropriate.
Work with creative agencies to develop an effective creative design for all campaigns.
Provide direction to the Communications team regarding key brand activities in order to maximise PR potential for brand(s).
Manage the contract negotiation and leverage opportunities for branded sponsorships

Desired Skills and Experience
You will be an established Marketing leader with experience developing and driving the strategic direction of brand portfolios within a Tourism & Hospitality or FMCG environment. You will be commercially astute, creative, influential, and have proven ability in stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
