We are looking for a Financial Controller for ANZ to join our Sydney CBD head office team.
The Financial Controller ANZ role is responsible for day-to-day financial aspects of the Groupon Australia Pty Limited entity and its subsidiaries.The role will be the leadership face of the Finance Team, supporting key leaders where necessary aswell as managing and developing a team of 5. You will work closely with the Finance Director ANZ, CEO, APAC and international accounting teams.
Finance responsibilities include managing and co-ordinating the key functions of accounts payables, processor receivables, merchant payables, cashflow management, taxation, internal controls and parent entity reporting whilst continually improving process and practice and how finance interacts and supports the ANZ Groupon business.
Duties
• Ensure accurate routine & ad hoc reporting to parent and controlling entities that comply with Accounting Standards, Corporations Laws, US GAAP and group policies
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processes including ensuring reconciliations are performed accurately
• Manage audits and preparation of statutory accounts and assume role of key contact with external and internal auditors
• Taxation compliance
• Treasury and banking relationship management
• Monitor, enforce and improve internal controls and financial processes and policies
• Train, coach and develop direct report staff including identifying training requirements & performance review processes

Desired Skills and Experience
Experience, Attributes & Behaviours
• CA/CPA qualified
• Experience from Big 4/Second Tier professional practice essential
• Commercial experience in FMCG/Technology/Retail/Ecommerce/Start Up environment needed
• Ability to demonstrate a good balance of technical skills and commercial acumen
• Previous experience of managing small teams
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong technical skills
• Team player with ability to take ownership
• Strong sense of accountability
• Exceptional organizational ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
