We are very pleased to be recruiting for a newly created role of Commercial Pricing Director within our Dairy and Drinks business unit. In the Dairy & Drinks business unit, we are currently embarking on a change journey as the entire business transitions from a functionally led structure to a much deeper and strategic category led organisation.

As part of this change, an opportunity has arisen for a highly capable and commercially astute Commercial Pricing Director who will have the overall responsibility for pricing thought leadership and strategy, core process improvement and governance and continued development of “One Way” for market-based pricing to facilitate revenue management.

This role is located in our Docklands office and will report into the Finance Director for Lion Dairy & Drinks. The key responsibilities will include:
Manage core pricing processes including: category pricing strategies, trade spend governance and management, periodic RRP and list price reviews, NPD pricing methodology, competitor intelligence and in-market price monitoring and reporting, longer term input cost monitoring and insights;
Business partner Marketing and Sales Directors and their teams to build and implement strategic and operational pricing methodologies;
Business partner the Commercial Category Marketing and Sales teams to understand and measure the performance of the various levers of category pricing;
Implement a consistent approach to pricing processes as well as a methodology to managing tactical pricing decisions.
Lead a team of two Pricing Analysts.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a great business partner and be capable of building strong relationships with teams across different locations. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to develop enduring connections across marketing, sales, and finance so pricing principles and process becomes part of business as usual. You will be able to interpret pricing analysis across multiple categories, channels and customers and drive actionable insights. You will have an inquisitive mind, with a desire to gain a deep understanding of business drivers and identifying insights to improve future business performance.
Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, in addition to the above, you must have a strong mix of the following key skills and experience:
Ability to handle high levels of business ambiguity and complexity, often in competing situations, and demonstrate cross functional agility
Proven ability to motivate and inspire people to build a high achievement team, improve overall capability and make tough people calls when necessary
Leads and maintains an achievement culture through championing people processes and delivering development opportunities for their team
Strong business degree and/or post graduate qualifications
Able to interpret complex analysis and implement strategies that maximise business profits with sustainable, repeatable performance
Experienced in developing business cases.
