Are you an established Project Manager who is seeking that next step to lead a Project Management Office and drive continuous improvement? We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic IT team based in Port Melbourne on a 12 month contract. This vital role will be responsible for leading a small PMO team, combined of 2 Project Managers and a Coordinator.
As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering medium to large complex technology based projects to a variety of customers across retail, supply chain and the AsiaPac support office.
You will use project methodology in line with PMO standards to drive successful delivery of projects, engaging both local and international stakeholders across UK and India. You will possess strong leadership skills and use your knowledge and experience to help other PMO members to achieve their goals.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following behaviours and skills:
Previous experience within a similar role, with solid E2E project management experience
Recent experience of managing software projects in various sizes and complexities
Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies & best practice (eg. PMBOK, PRINCE2, SDLC)
Passion for continuous improvement and project management best practice
Adaptable and responsive to a fast paced, constantly changing environment
Exposure to programs and IT portfolios of work
Good understanding of change management principles
Natural communicator who can build and maintain relationships across all levels of management
Experience of working across different time zones with international stakeholders
