A rare opportunity to join a growing team dedicated to delivering ICT capability, services, systems engineering and integration support to the Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG).

You will work with senior CIOG stakeholders and provide leadership to a combined team within a dynamic and vibrant environment.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the role of the Business Architect is to ensure that the business has alignment between its business strategies and portfolio of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) projects by engaging appropriate stakeholders to ensure the business is able to articulate the capabilities, processes, people and technology required to deliver its strategy and enable its future vision. Other responsibilities will include:

Identifying activities and associated enablers needed to perform business objectives
Creating high-level process and organisational views that enables the business to focus its attention in the most important areas
Mapping and modelling the gaps between the capabilities the business requires and the enablers that support it
Creating insights and perspectives on operational effectiveness as well as future business opportunities and helping the business to picture the future and the role that its capabilities, processes, people and enablers play in that future
Clarifying the organisation’s strategic intent by creating a set of strategies and roadmaps that provide a common framework across the enterprise
Working across organisational silos to identify opportunities for collaboration, reuse, and process integration as well as to identifying and resolving dependencies and impacts
Desired Skills and Experience
As the ideal applicant, you will have:
Significant experience in an ICT environment with a broad understanding of the business direction and strategy
Prior experience at a senior level demonstrating strong commercial acumen
Demonstrated ability to articulate the vision and influence change by demonstrating a realistic technology value proposition to the business
A relevant ICT or business related degree level qualification

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
