As the Account Solution Architect (ASA) you will oversee a team of Solution Architect’s across a variety of projects within one or more strategically outsourced accounts. They provide functional proposal development, planning, guidance and support to ensure that business requirements and objectives are met.
They work with, influence and advise the Technical Solution Architects (TSAs), Clients, Project Executives (PE) and Services Solution Executives (SSE) to develop account opportunities and technology road-maps for future activities and proposals.

The goal of the ANZ Account Solution Architect is twofold: (1) to become a trusted adviser to our customer, to develop a relationship which enables IBM to identify future opportunities and (2) through establishing strong technical governance with the customer to qualify all Request for Service (RFS) requests for completeness, clarity, purpose and provide advice to the customer on implementation options to meet available budgets.

You will be responsible for the qualification of all RFS requests and the identification of pro-active value-add opportunities.
The key responsibilities are: Own the overall quality of input to the RFS process and especially responsible for reducing the SOW rework metric to target levels. Be the primary customer point of contact for matters of technical governance including solution quality and appropriateness. Work with customer lead architect(s) to develop an account business and technical roadmap. Organise or perform the early engagement with customer architects to shape and validate project requests. Support Portfolio Director (PD) and TSAs with technical direction. Leverage business and technical roadmaps to identify pro-active selling opportunities with PE and SSE. Represent IBM in customer architecture governance.

Experience of infrastructure lifecycle management and design methodologies is very desirable with a strong understanding of systems management processes and techniques. Coupled with detailed application of infrastructure technology, tools and concepts to attain project/business unit objectives. Ability to apply this knowledge without direct guidance and able to demonstrate the required proficiency levels for technical infrastructure skills is key.
Prior experience within IT telecommunications projects and/or clients is highly desirable.
