KPMG’s highly regarded Corporate Finance division nationally – with its four lines of business; Mergers & Acquisitions, Valuations, Infrastructure & Projects, and Debt Advisory, continues to grow and we’re now seeking a talented Associate Director with a strong desire to establish the Perth Debt Advisory practice.
The Debt Advisory group focuses on the delivery of independent capital management advice involving the structuring, arranging and raising of debt capital for Australian and international borrowers. We’re now seeking to establish our Perth presence with an exceptional career opportunity for a proven, energetic professional with a deep understanding of debt financing. You will work closely with CEOs, CFOs and Treasurers of leading organisations and apply your first-hand knowledge of debt markets in an advisory capacity.
Key responsibilities:-
Assisting clients to develop efficient and sustainable capital structures and funding strategies that support their strategic objectives
Advising clients “end-to-end” from strategy through to arranging and executing funding transactions
Set and achieve financial targets through the origination and execution of engagements in the Perth marketplace
Build on your existing presence and networks in the WA marketplace by presenting and participating in client and industry forums at a leadership level
Take a lead role in establishing and developing a new Perth practice
Desired Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role you will:-
Possess strong corporate and / or institutional banking knowledge, including previous hands-on experience in sales, structuring, credit risk management and documentation of loan and debt capital markets transactions
Have experience across a range of debt funding solutions and products, which together with an analytical and creative mind, enables you to develop innovative funding solutions that deliver value to clients
Be highly motivated, show strong initiative and have the ability to work independently
Have proven client relationship management skills and a track record of origination
Have strong knowledge of local debt markets and an established network of relationships with borrowers and lenders
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills required to deliver clear and concise advice on complex transactions
