Finance Director - eBay - Sydney

Job description
To support continuous growth and to help succeed and drive the business, we are seeking a Director of Finance for eBay Marketplaces Australia . This is an exciting opportunity where you will form a strategic partnership with the Marketplaces business executive team for eBay Australia.

This position will be closely aligned with the different finance teams in Marketplaces. It is a uniquely interesting and challenging role and we are looking for an exceptional leader with unquestioned integrity to oversee finance and operations. You will work with key stakeholders to drive positive business results by implementing recommendations related to quantitative data and analysis; contributing to our journey to become a world class organisation through Connected Commerce. This position provides the opportunity to operate independently in management of the eBay Australia business resources, while demonstrating the agility and collaboration needed to contribute as part of a larger regional and global internet retail organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Lead a high performing finance and analytics team which forms and evolves the story of the business
Engage with Leadership Team members to formulate strategy and translate that strategy into financial outcomes
Support long-term strategic planning, including process development, presentation creation, and partnering between finance and strategy
Own the analytics, planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow activity for the country business
Drive work with analytics centres of excellence, financial planning and analysis teams, and peers across the world to maximise insights from central teams in order to link those insights to local performance.
Lead analysis projects within the team to deliver key insights for making critical business decisions
Own controlling and compliance for the business
Drive the scale and efficiency of the function to support the business through Operational Excellence
Recruit, lead and develop a team of high potential finance professionals

Basic Qualifications
10+ years' experience in operational finance
Focus on quantitative analysis and Financial Planning and Analysis
Relevant control & compliance experience
Strong leadership experience developing world class talent/teams
Demonstrated ability to successfully influence high level General Managers
Combination of multi-national, public company experience and experience in a smaller, more nimble organisation
Expertise in quantitative analysis and presentation
Bachelor's degree and/or MBA required
Experience gained in an Ecommerce/Digital environment preferred
