About the Role and Responsibilities

VP Marketing APAC is the regions figurehead within the Marketing function and is responsible for developing and managing all corporate and product APAC marketing programs within the region whilst being part of the regional management team. The VP Marketing will build, develop and provide regional leadership for marketing programs whilst managing the departments P&L. Responsible for identifying sales and marketing objectives with corporate marketing and implement within the APAC region to include leveraging sales and marketing materials generated from worldwide product and corporate marketing teams. Drive strategic and tactical marketing campaigns to build brand awareness and gain market share across the APAC region

Key Responsibilities

- Assume the lead marketing roles for the APAC Business (Responsible for Business, Retail and Public sectors) and quickly & effectively establish credibility in the US and the APAC regional Leadership team.
- Consistent with overall corporate strategy, ensuring the APAC business has the optimum strategy tailored for the region, and has the tools & team required in order for it to realise it’s plans
- Take responsibility for developing demand-generation programmes specific to geographies, business propositions and customer segments, capable of supporting top line growth whilst developing McAfee’s overall profile within it’s core markets
- Take responsibility for creation, management and execution of corporate and product marketing activities across the region, to include advertising, direct marketing, public relations, events, trade shows, seminars, creative services, database marketing and management reporting.
- Align the Marketing function closely with Sales, ensuring a relationship based on collaboration, constant feedback and clear, measurable results.
- Manage budgets, news and team responsibility, reporting accurately on numbers, anticipated issues and challenges in a timely & consistent manner.
- Take responsibility for comparative market analysis, competitive overview and industry trends in APAC and communicating to regional management.
- Implement centralized processes, messaging and corporate identity between corporate and APAC marketing teams
- Identify mutually agreed upon objectives for APAC marketing by region
- Communicate corporate and product positioning to APAC market
- Report and coordinate with Global Marketing

Qualifications

- Proven management experience preferably in a high-tech Software, Hardware & Services, multi cultural environment managing effective marketing teams in all aspects of the marketing mix including Business and Retail marketing
- Understands how to develop high value lead-generation programmes for complex sales environments ideally with a breadth of experience covering consumer, SME and larger enterprise
- Ability to set a clear marketing strategy which complements all areas of the business including sales, product development, engineering and services
- Reflects the sense of urgency associated with a quarterly earnings driven business and is able to communicate this to teams and through plans
- Challenges established practices and ways of thinking, whilst encouraging innovation.
- Creates outstanding demand generation programmes capable of capturing market attention and fuelling revenue growth
- Builds highly productive working relationships with all parts of the business, but especially sales, encouraging collaboration, a shared mission and a drive for results
- Reports with accuracy and consistency, highlighting issues and challenges before major problems occur
- Communicates in a way that wins commitment and buy-in to a common vision with clearly stated goals
- Ensures that McAfee continues to develop a team of the highest calibre where appropriate
- Leads & collaborates with a high performance teams made up of multiple stakeholders
