Head - Business Intelligence - Electronic Arts - Sydney


Job description
Provide better intelligence of the market, the consumer, the retail & digital landscapes at a territory and regional level for Asia. Partner with the Regional Leadership team, Sales & Marketing, and other key functions to drive strategic planning, business reporting and market analysis across the APAC region. As well as challenging current thinking, this insight will enable more fact-based & consumer-focused decision making and actions.

Organisational
Lead the Business Intelligence function and spearhead Digital Sales as we develop in that space.
Report to VP APAC and attend APAC Leadership meetings.
Continue to embed key current planning processes into Japan, South Africa and Central Asia, and then evolve the Business Intelligence function over time.

Strategic Planning
Use actionable, high quality business intelligence to recommend business driving strategies and initiatives for the region, in partnership with key functions and APAC Leadership.
Drive a robust and consistent GAP market projection across Asia for Packaged Goods and Digital.
Provide ongoing rationale and commentary on APAC business performance at Senior EA Mgmt and Board level including preparing materials and presentations.

Consumer Insights
Ensure data quality and coverage (market data and EA sell thru) remains high and is used to provide on-going analysis, identify key trends with recommendations on course of actions.
Incorporate more consumer insight from new sources (e.g. telemetry) into planning and strategy.
Oversee an active consumer research programme to deliver category leading initiatives, including consumer segmentation, and use to develop stronger marketing briefs with tighter audience breakouts.
Provide shopper insights for Sales to assist in devising Category strategies for key customers which will enable us to improve our influence on key customer’s business.

Demand Planning
Lead the APAC Planning process – Demand Review, partner with Finance on Day 7
Manage the roll up of the APAC Units, Revenue, Pricing (extrapolated from JP and ANZ to other territories)
Coordinate Demand Planning (between 2 more detailed Demand Planners in Sydney and Tokyo)
Liaise with International Franchise Demand Planners (Geneva)
Recommend pricing strategy & coordinate promotional strategy (Retail & Digital)
Filter Localisation requests from territories using understanding of ROI rationale

Digital Sales
Drive an APAC Digital strategy that clearly articulates revenue targets, resourcing, responsibilities (GPO and Global Online) and builds capability for future digital growth.
Be the one point of contact on Digital Revenue & Pricing & Promotions.
GPO Account Manager for Origin, Steam and any new E-tailers, as well as 1st Party.
Planning & strategy of Specialists entering the digital market (POSA cards, kiosks etc ).
Coordinate execution of Digital in-store (through local Sales teams).
Driving revenue opportunities with 1st Party and E-tailers.
