Job description
The Director of Marketing in Australia represents the face of marketing to the Asia Pacific Forrester team, and most importantly, to our clients and prospects. The primary focus area is generating demand and creating healthy and high-velocity pipeline. To do that, this person will work closely with the Director of Marketing in Singapore to orchestrate the overall Asia Pacific marketing effort, and work closely with the global marketing organization that includes capabilities such as PR, analytics, content, social, creative, among others. In context of Demand Generation, this person will envision campaigns, field marketing events, and other initiatives to drive awareness and lead flow.

Job Responsibilities:
● Responsible for demand generation and marketing campaigns within the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region that keep the prospect/customer’s experience front and center while creating substantial revenue opportunities. This includes the planning and execution of trade shows, Forrester-hosted seminars, third-party events, and direct mail and email activities.
● Work closely with sales and research to create and implement demand generation programs that are in line with go-to-market strategy and goals.
● Work intently with the global marketing team to optimize and localize both global content and campaigns across all marketing channels (social, community, PR, digital, events, etc.) to differentiate Forrester services in ANZ.
● Provide leadership on field requirements for marketing program development for ANZ.
● Measure effectiveness of marketing campaigns/activities using established metrics to show lead, pipeline and revenue contribution, as well as analyze campaigns/activities real-time to make adjustments
● Maintain close communications with customers to help facilitate participation and satisfaction in Forrester’s marketing activities and events.
● Provide sales with relevant marketing materials and tools for delivery to customers and prospects.
● Work with your marketing colleagues in the Solutions Center to develop, update, and deliver case studies/testimonials, quarterly newsletters, presentation decks, and other sales enablement tools.
● Solicit feedback from sales to deliver close alignment between regional marketing investment and sales requirements.
● Support and drive marketing activities in other Asia Pacific regions when required and in concert with the Director of Marketing Singapore.
● Manage and track all expenses to budget compliance.

● A bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a master's degree related to business, economics, or international marketing is a plus.
● At least five to seven years of (direct) marketing experience within the B2B space, in the professional services, technology vendor, or research arena, and looking to take the next step in your career; software marketing experience is a plus.
● At least five years of experience in working in or closely with sales; past sales experience is a plus.
● Fluent in English (written and spoken).
● A self- starter, business savvy, and a strategic thinker; the ability to analyze the marketplace and interpret analytics and apply it to strategic field marketing plans that support pipeline and revenue targets and other business imperatives.
● The ability to apply marketing concepts, tactics, analytics, and messaging/content development skills to drive lead generation, conversion, retention, and cross-sell.
● The ability to empathize with the prospect/customer and keeps experience front and center in the design and execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
● Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines.
● A proactive communicator with a track record of working within and across diverse teams composed of different skills, functions and job-levels. Previous experience with enterprise marketing, account-based marketing, digital marketing, viral programs, and other interactive marketing programs (beneficial).
● Computer skills, including Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is a must; Eloqua and ON24 is a plus.
● A metrics-driven, results- and action-oriented individual.
● A self-directed learner who is comfortable with new technologies and is willing to go the extra mile when needed.
● The ability to work intelligently in a fast-paced environment where flexibility is needed and being nimble is an advantage.
● The ability to say “no” where necessary and to back this up with solid reasons.
