Job description
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and personality to educate and excite around insights. The successful candidate will be an enterprising, self-starter who is well organized, creative, independent, and self-motivated, with exceptional presentation, written and oral communications skills, who can exhibit acute business acumen and experience in managing/building an offer



They will contribute to Berland’s global management team—implementing global strategy and advocating for the region at a worldwide level. They will be responsible for integrating with and inspiring Edelman Australia leadership and driving the alignment between Edelman and Edelman Berland.

The candidate must have extensive experience in research, consulting and client management skills; along with an in-depth understanding of communications and marketing. They must excel in business development, team/project management, and creating strong relationships with leaders and influential stakeholders. They will have the proven skill to grow new and existing client portfolios.
Desired Skills and Experience
Leading Australian Berland office
Demonstrable track record of growing clients and teams
Previous P&L responsibility. Ability to manage budgets and teams
Strong interest in and knowledge of the Australia and Southeast Asia
Cross-cultural people and client management experience
Client relationships
Developing new business, Proposal writing and meeting revenue targets
Client relationship management
Comfortable and dynamic presenting style.
Personality
An outgoing, ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to take responsibility for a variety of tasks
A ‘team player’ who is willing to help colleagues whenever necessary
Confident but sensitive negotiator
Must be self-motivated and action-oriented
Research delivery
Experience within a brand, public relations or consumer marketing insights agency is an advantage
International research experience
Managing multiple research projects and small teams (located off-site) concurrently across a variety of sectors and methodologies (Method neutral research consultancy and design)
Superior report writing and client presentation skills, creating a story and providing recommendations
Account leadership
Can work effectively with a variety of internal and external clients
Exceptional abilities in developing client relationships that generate repeat business
Team management
As the market grows, eventually line management (1-3 research managers) and mentoring of team
Working across global, off-site, resources; line management of teams on projects
