Role Summary/Purpose
Under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer, the position will be responsible for:-
Leadership of Sourcing team (indicatively 6 resources)
Develop and deliver on sourcing operating plan
Day to day management of Sourcing across GE Capital Business in Australia and New Zealand



Essential Responsibilities
- Reduce ‘total cost of ownership’: Liaise and negotiate with all Australia & New Zealand service providers using GE Capital’s Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management processes, so as to reduce total cost for the company while improving the overall quality of services purchased.
Improve speed to market: proactively adopt ‘agile’ methodologies across vendor selection processes to support delivery of desired commercial and operational outcomes in a dynamic environment
Trusted advisor & collaboration with stakeholders: Develop, maintain and forge strong working relationships with all stakeholders to improve collaboration and build trust
Lead team to adopt a commercial ‘fact based’ approach provide coaching & guidance to the Sourcing team to propose solutions which will deliver sustainable commercial outcomes underpinned by ‘fact based’ approach
Forward planning & supplier innovation: Review of contract register & stakeholder plans to proactively identify renewals to support supplier rationalisation & innovation across the supply base
Consistently deliver value over time: Identify and manage contract leakage in collaboration with the Vendor Management team and other stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities to deliver value throughout the life of the contract
Clear & effective communication: Actively engage suppliers, business units, users and stakeholders to communicate in an objective and clear manner and drive greater collaboration across all parties

Qualifications

Degree qualified (business/commerce) and accredited procurement qualifications (CIPSA)

Experience

Minimum of 10 years’ procurement experience with strong exposure across Facilities and Operational Services categories.
Strong commercial acumen with negotiation skills
Strong Stakeholder Management and influencing Skills
Proven project management skills.
Proven negotiation skills.
