About the role
Strong growth in our Financial Services business line has resulted in an outstanding opportunity for a proven Associate Director to join our highly talented team and be involved in:
providing in-depth analysis of the key commercial and financial aspects of target businesses, as well as their strategic and market position and future plans
work closely with each project based team, supervising and reviewing the analysis of junior team members and supporting senior team members with overall engagement management
a wide range of transactions including acquisitions, takeovers, mergers, divestments, capital raisings
global deals with international and national blue chip clients, emerging companies and private equity firms
project management of transactions including direct liaison with vendors/bidders and other deal stakeholders
providing truly innovative solutions to our clients not simply managing transactions.
About the opportunity
Our client base includes listed and unlisted companies, private equity houses and government related entities, assisting them through a range of services and skills that add value at all stages of a transaction, including:
Pre-acquisition or disposal analysis
Structuring an acquisition or disposal
Acquisition due diligence
Vendor due diligence
Investigating accountants reports on IPOs
Forecast reviews
Sale and Purchase Agreement advice
About your experience
You will ideally be able an analytical chartered accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience from a Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Audit background and able to demonstrate;
significant financial services expertise in one or a combination of banking, insurance, wealth management and property;
advanced financial analysis skills complemented by strong commercial acumen with proven ability in interpreting and analysing key business drivers
highly developed project management and communications skills, including a track record of supervising more junior staff and delivering outstanding client service in compressed timeframes
strong strategic thinking and advisory capability gained from interaction with senior decision makers
ability to quickly interpret and review financial models and advanced report writing skills in addition to the ability to present solutions to clients with a quick turnaround time.
