Together with the Divisional CFO, understand and drive financial performance by shaping strategy, allocation of resources and ensuring decisions are based on facts
Opportunity to partner leadership of the business and provide knowledge, analysis and insights to formulate and deliver financial components of the divisional strategic plan

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) helps drive the financial performance of the International & Institutional Banking (I&IB) division by shaping the strategy, allocating resources and ensuring decisions are based on facts. This key decision support function provides timely and accurate analysis, reporting and insights to enable informed partnering of the leadership and the businesses comprising I&IB and to facilitate operational and strategic decision making.

The Head of FP&A will provide a view of underlying performance for in-depth financial analysis, commentary and business decision support. This role is critical for progressively embedding rigorous MI strategies and maximising overall MI delivery to the leadership and the business by making it insightful, easily accessible, up-to-date, ‘active’ and known as ‘single source’. The successful candidate will contribute to continuing to grow capability within the global FP&A community of practice including appropriate performance and development management, talent management, and building bench-strength and succession.

Qualifications:
Broad financial knowledge of the banking environment, products and geographies, with the ability to aggregate disparate elements into a comprehensive holistic view and experience in using productivity metrics and key business drivers to ensure value add support to our businesses.
Understands the strategic context of the business and rapidly grasps of new insights, knowledge and situations based on a combination of learning agility and previous experience.
Demonstrates commitment to achieving set goals, overcoming obstacles and takes full accountability for delivering their contribution to the business.
A well-developed communication style and ability to respond quickly to unforseen challenges or issues.
Ability to think through different corporate agendas and approach individuals to gain their support adopting different influencing styles.
