Job description
The Head of Strategy and Planning and will help define, develop, articulate, implement APAC's marketing strategy and lead the development of specific strategic initiatives. They will also help drive improved transparency and effectiveness for APAC Groupon’s investment in marketing

The Head of Strategy and Planning will develop the analysis and help define Groupon's marketing strategy, will lead the development of specific strategic initiatives as well as provide the framework for effective decision making. .This individual will interact heavily with the Marketing and the larger Management team focusing on marketing plans, forecasting, reporting and implementation of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Proactively identify strategies that can create growth/value for Groupon's marketing team
Actively assess and measure progress against marketing strategy initiatives and strategies, define success metrics, and course correct as needed.
Provide critical thinking in identifying and addressing issues that will have a major impact on the marketing's performance.
Coordinate the gathering and analyzing of data, working proactively with cross-functional teams throughout the company
Collaborates with senior executives in Marketing, Finance and across the region
Works with accounting and marketing finance to understand and forecast/reconcile variance
Analyzes and maximizes ROI for Marketing campaign
Familiar with marketing attribution and tracking technologies
Develops processes and tools with Marketing Analytics and Finance Analytics teams
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelors Degree required, MBA highly desirable
5+ years Management, FP&A or Strategy Consulting strongly preferred
Proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint required/ SQL preferred
Desire to work in fast paced, rapidly changing, dynamic environment
