Greenpeace Australia Pacific is looking for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Head of Fundraising and Marketing. You will build upon the reputation and goodwill that Greenpeace enjoys for its extensive achievements and will have the support of an engaged board and experienced and committed professional colleagues.

You will be crucial to the achievement of Greenpeace’s strategic objectives. Your focus will be to build revenue, primarily through individuals regularly giving, but also through diversification of our fundraising portfolio. You will have a track record in donor acquisition, retention and upgrade as well as management of appeals, major gift, bequest and other fundraising programs.
Key duties:
Provide leadership, vision, innovation and strategic direction to the Fundraising and Marketing Department, and all areas of the organisation
Oversee the successful operation of existing and future fundraising methods of Greenpeace Australia Pacific
Develop and oversee the supporter journeys for all fundraising methods
Develop and implement annual and multi-year development strategies and plans for the fundraising program, including short and long term measurable goals
Ensure that staff across the Department are effectively managed against agreed work plans and that appropriate performance measures and professional development plans are in place and implemented.
Help develop and execute organisational strategy as a member of the Senior Management Team.
Keep up to date with the latest developments in fundraising and marketing for the benefit of Greenpeace Australia Pacific
Report to the Board and the Finance and Audit Committee on progress towards meeting fundraising and marketing objectives.

With previous high level management experience, you will bring to the team an understanding and appreciation of global best practices in fundraising and marketing. You will have experience in various customer relationship management tools and mediums for engaging supporters. You will bring strong financial and staff management skills with experience in management of major growth and investment strategies. You will bring sincere respect for our supporters and deep commitment to the goals and values of the organisation.

Desired Skills and Experience
Selection Criteria:
Commitment to Greenpeace’s values and mission
Five to seven years fundraising experience at senior management level in a large non-profit, working closely with senior management and supervising diverse staff
Minimum of five years’ experience of leading/managing Fundraising & Marketing activities including Direct Dialogue, Regular Giving and Marketing Strategies & Segmentation, Digital, Major Gifts, Database and Supporter Care functions. Budget preparation, analysis and management
Understands and can apply fundraising and financial principles to improve business performance
Commitment to achieving targets and taking personal accountability for success
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to develop effective working relationships and networks both internally and externally
Ability to relate well to people of all backgrounds and cultures and adapt style accordingly.

This is a full time permanent position based in Sydney.
