Director - Channel Sales - Carrier - BlackBerry - Sydney


Job description

We are looking for a talented Channel Sales Director who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of mobile communications and delivering world class devices and VAS offerings for users whose main focus is security, productivity, communication and collaboration.

Position Summary

As a Channel Sales Director you will be primarily responsible for maximizing BlackBerry’s revenue opportunity for their assigned regions/carriers. The role of the Director is to define, articulate and execute the overall commercial strategy and ensure all BlackBerry’s activity/plans align and support the achievement of quarterly revenue targets for their team.
You will be responsible for both the commercial and financial performance for the assigned region/Carrier(s) for your team. Acting as the main interface between BlackBerry and our Carrier(s), your focus will be on developing strategic & profitable relationships.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Building and maintaining senior management level relationships with your assigned Carrier Partner/s to gain an understanding of their businesses and key priorities to identify joint regional sales strategies and tactics for achievement of sales targets.

• Driving sales and overall messaging of BlackBerry's products and services to our current and prospective Carrier Partners through their Consumer, Enterprise, VAS, ISV, Public Sector, SMB, and Retail/Indirect Channels.

• Maintaining and expanding BlackBerry’s existing customer base.

• Growing and maintaining relationships with key customers within the specific Carrier organization to increase mindshare/ awareness/ market share in regard to the BlackBerry portfolio.

• Develop and communicate mid to long term market plans, strategies and key priorities to the sales/marketing teams and at the same time working within budget requirements.

• Actively managing & supporting the Carrier sales team through all stages of the sales cycle including sales planning, delivery of sales programs/incentives to promote awareness and stimulate demand for BlackBerry.

• The primary contact into Carrier executives on the subject of sales and channel development strategies.

• Analyzing and proposing new business and partnership opportunities in line with the strategy and direction set by Carrier executives.

• Forecast accurately to Carrier executives and drive positive behaviours to the Sales team.

• Motivate and manage a Sales team to achieve high performance goals.
