Principal Channel Marketing Specialist - Symantec - Sydney


Job description
Develop and execute marketing programs that facilitate growth of Symantec’s Australia and New Zealand channel business through its strategic named, alliance, and technology partners
Work with named, alliance and technology partners to develop and execute annual and quarterly channel go-to-market plans in support of business objectives
Build and leverage relationships with our partners’ marketing teams and sales leaders to educate them on Symantec’s complementary value proposition, products, and services
Leverage global and APJ channel programs and campaigns for Australia and New Zealand use, while providing regional input for future program development
Oversee participation at partner events to showcase our strategic relationships, increase knowledge of Symantec’s solutions, and generate leads
Manage reporting process to track and measure the ROI and effectiveness of Symantec-funded distribution marketing programs
Manage distribution channel marketing budget to ensure maximum return on investment as well as ensuring compliance with internal budget processes

Qualifications
University degree, marketing or business focus preferred
Minimum 5 years account marketing program development experience in the IT industry
Minimum 5 years experience with channel/alliance marketing programs
Proven ability to develop marketing plans that meet specified ROI, sales and product objectives
Extensive knowledge of channel programs, forecasting, project tracking and ROI management
Strong presentation and communication skills required
Organisational agility to work successfully in cross-functional environments
Customer driven and action-oriented working style
